The newsgroup rec.aquaria.marine.reefs is a message board that, instead of having to log on to a web site, the postings come to you in your newsgroup reader (same software that get's your e-mail). If you have Compuserve, you've been sold down the river to AOL

If you have Netscape, you've been sold up the river by AOL

If you have Comcast

If you have Verizon (if it asks you for an internet type, select DSL, and enter 352-357 for the phone number)
